International work (outgoing)
Cultural Capitals
( Istanbul European Capital of Culture arts engagement programme). This project will involve young performers from UK, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Malta and the Netherlands. Together they will create two large-scale parades presented in Istanbul, Turkey (2010 EU Capital of Culture) and in Liverpool, UK (International Carnival) two large-scale cultural events attracting significant audiences and profile.
Cultural Conversations
Artists from UK, Germany, Italy, Palestine and Egypt will develop intercultural performance work that explores the use of public space. Through workshops with young people and communities in the UK, Palestine and Egypt the artists will develop large-scale outdoor mobile performances. Cultural Conversations is funded by the EACEA.
Euroma
An arts project in Magnesia, Greece involving young performers from minority backgrounds across Europe who, together with young people from Greece’s Roma communities, will explore the theme of ‘Diversity’ and develop a collaborative performance that will be presented to wider Roma and non-Roma audiences.
Urbanity
A youth dance project delivered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Young dancers will work with professional dancers to create collaborative new performance work which will be presented in a site specific location that will attract significant young audiences and profile.
