Carnivalisation
will see 25 adults dancers, musicians and carnival makers from UK, France, Portugal, Netherlands and Malta participate in a range of structured workshop activities to produce collaborative work that will be presented within the Liverpool International Carnival 2010. Carnivalisation is funded by Grundtvig.
Spaces, Places and People
Young people from UK, France, Norway, Tunisia, Palestine and Egypt will develop a new outdoor performance that explores issues relating to young people and mental health.
One in Ten
In the UK, one in ten young people are from backgrounds of duel heritage. This is a reality for many other EU countries. Young multicultural hip hop and street dancers from across Europe will come together to create a new performance presented at the World in Princes Park festival.
The Word
Young people from UK, France, Poland and the Netherlands will collaborate under the coordination of Rommi Smith to explore the themes of poverty and social exclusion within their own national contexts. When together they will create new live and recorded ‘spoken word’ poetry text and rap. Their work will be presented at the ‘Urban Music Stage at the World in Princes Park festival.
