Brouhaha International carried out a national youth in initiative that enabled young people to gain and develop skills in carnival costume design and construction. By developing these skills the group were able to undertake a touring prgramme of activities across the North West and set up and manage their own Carnival Mas Group (Costume Section). Over the five month period five young people were supported and trained to develop carnival band on the road. They worked and trained with Ray Allan Mahabir a specialist freelancer carnival costume maker. The group planned and delivered making workshops across approximately 21 weeks to community and youth groups across Liverpool.
